Quality Assurance Tester

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our QA team and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and usability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product owners and fellow testers to validate new features, identify potential issues and contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated applications focused on data organisation, analysis, visualisation and user experience.

Duties and responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, design and execute software tests throughout the development lifecycle
  • Analyse requirements and translate user stories into effective test cases
  • Perform functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing
  • Identify, log and track defects through to resolution
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and release planning
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to improve product quality and user experience
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality practices

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Experience with test planning, test execution and defect management

Advantageous

  • ISTQB / ISEB Certification
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Experience testing complex software applications
  • Experience with telecommunications technologies or protocols

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

 

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A proactive approach and passion for delivering high-quality software
